Theatreland Memorabilia

Did you know...

Miss Saigon is the theatre's long running production with a total of 4,263 shows.

A ghost of a man is said to haunt the back of the Upper Circle (possibly that of the skeleton found in a sealed room nearby by workmen in the 19th Century)

Both the National Anthem and Rule Britannia were sung in public for the first time in the theatre

Had the first known "safety" iron curtain fitted in 1974 (yet still burned down in 1809!)
